International Consensus Guidelines Committee for the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Extremist Violence

This initiative was launched at the Expert Meeting Days of the CPN-PREV. This event was hosted on March 19–20, 2018 within the Building Connections conference: Preventing Violent Extremism in Canada.

Under the leadership of the UNESCO Chair on the Prevention of Radicalization and Violent Extremism (UNESCO-PREV Chair), in collaboration with the CPN-PREV, the International Consensus Guidelines Committee (ICGC) aims to bring together approximately 60 experts from diverse sectors and disciplines from approximately 20 countries in order to ensure diversity of perspectives and backgrounds. We believe that by us all working together, we will be able to identify evidence-based best practices and develop guidelines that would then be adaptable to the reality of each individual country.

These experts were identified via a systematic mapping of P/CVE research, practice and policy centers worldwide, involved in review and guidelines development.

More details to come.
