An Onboarding Guide for New PVE Practitioners

ABOUT THIS MANUAL

This onboarding manual supports practitioners entering the Prevention of Extremist Violence (PVE) field, covering fundamental principles, Canada's PVE landscape, practitioner positionality, risk and protective factors, case management, collaboration, and well-being.

It was developed through a participatory process centered on collective knowledge-building and active engagement. It emerged from collaborative consultations between the CPN-PREV team and the members of Partnering in Practice (vPiP), who shared insights grounded in their daily practice.

HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL

The seven sections are intentionally sequenced to build comprehensive understanding progressively, though each can be consulted independently as needed.

We invite practitioners, researchers, and organizations to complete our access request form by clicking the button below.
