“Journée scientifique 2025 du département de psychologie de l'UQÀM”

CPN-PREV attended the “Journée scientifique 2025 du département de psychologie de l'UQÀM”! Having greatly enjoyed the experience last year, we returned with new data from studies conducted by the research and network mapping teams. Bridging the fields of psychology, criminology, and violent extremism prevention, we covered:

  • Tertiary prevention programs (disengagement, "deradicalization") for violent extremism and parallels that can be drawn with social reintegration initiatives (Sébastien Brouillette-Alarie, Sabrina Charikhi).

  • Pathways into and out of violent extremism (Traian Toma, Nour el Houda Belmabrouk).

  • Best practice guidelines for online and offline violent extremism prevention, stemming from the 2019 consensus conference and Delphi process (Wynnpaul Varela, Imane Ammour).

  • Challenges of collaboration and marginalization that may arise in the context of multisectoral work inherent to violent extremism prevention (Yelena Amkhoukh).

Thank you to the dedicated organizers of this event, including the illustrious Rania Djermane Ikram!
