Wilson Hernandez (Ph.D.)

Capacity Development Coordinator

Wilson is a dedicated educational researcher and ESL and literacy teacher. He currently assists adult learners in enhancing their language and literacy skills. He completed his doctoral program in education at Concordia University in Montreal, where he collaborated with teachers affected by violence. His research explored the types of violence teachers encounter, its effects on their teaching practices, and their strategies to resist it.

Wilson has collaborated and conducted qualitative research projects on teacher identity, agency, and development. He has authored ten academic articles on these topics and has taught research methods and qualitative research courses at undergraduate and master levels at Concordia University and Surcolombiana University.

Driven by a passion for understanding and supporting teachers and students in challenging circumstances, Wilson is deeply committed to promoting and facilitating the use of research among knowledge users, particularly those affected by the researched issues.
